Terms & Conditions

Booking

A deposit of $100-$400 is required to confirm a reservation; the reservation is not confirmed until the deposit is received.

72-Hour Cancellation or Reschedule

At least 72 hours’ notice is required for any cancellations or rescheduling. Failure to provide this notice will forfeit the deposit.

Additionally, moves canceled less than 3 hours before the scheduled arrival window will incur a $230 fee to cover our movers’ minimum pay. For example, if the customer’s scheduled arrival window is between 8 AM and 10 AM, the move must be canceled before 5 AM to avoid the $230 fee.

Payment

“We only accept cash, debit, or credit cards.”Please note that “cash” refers to U.S. currency only and does NOT include CHECKS or online transfer services. Additionally, per our policy, a 10% fee applies to all credit card transactions.

Heavy Items & Hoisting and Lowering

An additional fee of $60–$250 applies for items over 250 lbs, depending on size and weight. Extra charges also apply for hoisting or lowering items that do not fit on stairs.
 
If the move includes a piano, large safe, pool table, industrial fridge or any item exceeding 300 lbs, please notify us immediately. We may not be able to service these items without prior notice. Please note that upright pianos can only be moved between ground-floor locations.

TVs

We require testing TVs ourselves at pick-up and drop-off to ensure they are in working order. If the customer packs the TV themselves, we are not liable for any damages during the move.

Parking

Customers are responsible for arranging parking spaces in advance and are encouraged to obtain permits where available. Ocean Moving is not responsible for any parking tickets incurred during the move.
